This is the biggest film festival in Portugal. In it, the best of fantasy film is projected, and the festival itself is one of the most important in the world in this genre. Apart from film there are theatrical shows, comics contests and monographic book exhibitions.

São João Festivities

International Marionette Festival
Held twice a year since 1995, this festival aims to foster the production of marionette-shows by Portuguese youth. In the festival, activities are held including debates, exhibitions and workshops given on related disciplines.
